Back for more: Day 2 at the Emirates Airline Jazz Festival
February 22, 2018
After a wonderful first day, the second round of the Emirates Airline Jazz Festival promised to be just as amazing and it did not disappoint. The Grammy and Academy-award winner John Legend serenaded and got the crowd going, whilst the soulful China Moses swayed the audience with a performance that had people doe-eyed.
Heart 107.1 was stationed at the Mastercard On-Air Booth, broadcasting live to listeners, so no one missed out on the action. As with day one, our presenters gave on-lookers a sneak peek behind the scenes. Visitors had the chance to win tickets to the next day by singing their hearts out.
Our big heart frame was back on the ground, doing its rounds. Check out some of the photos from day two.
On day two as well, one of our Mastercard winners, Nicole Stevens, had the priceless opportunity to sing in front of a live audience. The video below is proof of why she’s one of the UAE’s best.
Before the smooth crooner, John Legend, American singer who was raised in France, China Moses commanded the stage with an inspiring performance that blew us away. There was no better way to open for the main act.
The man everyone came for finally took the stage. John Legend sang his upbeat numbers like Love Me Now, Used to Love U and Ordinary People. Then, he took it down a notch and gave everyone what they wanted – All of Me, solo on the piano. The audience was enthralled.
Legend left the crowd begging for more and brought day two to a close. Everyone was so hyped for day three. What did you think of Legend’s performance?
