The BBC Minute live from and in the house with Heart 107.1

March 27, 2018

The BBC Minute was in Dubai last week and Heart 107.1 had the pleasure of hosting the team at our office and studio. The worldwide news segment recorded live from the heart of Dubai Media City. In an interview with the Heart Breakfast team on Thursday, the 22nd of March, presenters Abdulrahim, Olivia and Aoife gave listeners a rundown on how the news comes together and what they have been up to in and around the city during their visit.

They told us all their trip to MoneyKick’s farm, their visit to Al Qudra and their opinion on Dubai’s luxurious automobiles. Check out a snippet of their interview below.

We depend on the BBC to bring us the latest news, but where does the BBC source their news from? Olivia answered the question and put us at ease. The BBC is one of the biggest broadcasters in the world, they have reporters and branches in every corner that feed and relay upcoming stories to them. If there aren’t any reporters in a particular region, a team is probably on its way there immediately.

They also stated that it is getting more difficult to find stories that matter with the influx of ‘fake news’ in recent times. The BBC Minute has radio station partners around the world, Heart 107.1 included and is constantly looking for tales, news and stories that inspire and motivate their audience.

Stay tuned for more exciting stories and interviews and don’t forget to check out our other interviews here.
