Vera Ciocca: Heart 107.1 exclusive interview

Jade from Heart mornings had the pleasure of interviewing the lively and bubbly, singer and songwriter Vera Ciocca. If you were wondering, it is pronounced ‘Chok-ka.’ The half Italian, half Columbian young pop star who currently lives in the UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi, entertained listeners with her talent, gave them a mini Spanish lesson and unveiled her brand-new, debut single.

Vera has been singing since the age of seven. She started with classical music as part of a choir and then branched out into more a more pop-oriented field as she grew up. In 2017, she was part of the top eight contestants on the Columbian version of the televised singing competition ‘The Voice.’ She believed it was a good platform for her to really get out there. Vera Ciocca also said she felt at home every time she took the stage.
In fact, she even performed at the 2018 Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival as the opening act for Rick Martin no the third and final day of the event. Though Vera is known to do awesome covers of famous songs, she is now getting ready to release her first single this summer called ‘Sala De Espera,’ which translates to ‘waiting room.’ As for the future, she just wants to do her own thing and keep creating music.
