Gassama met the president of France who posted this on his Facebook, saying “With Mr Gassama who saved the life of a child on Saturday by climbing four floors with his bare hands. I told him that in recognition of this heroic act he was going to be regularised as soon as possible and that the Paris Fire Brigade is ready to welcome him.”
Turns out the toddler’s father was very distracted and was busy playing Pokemon Go. According to the Evening Standard, French Prosecutor Francois Molins claimed the child’s father was playing the virtual reality smartphone game on his way back from the shops. The father did not even know what was happening.
What would you do in a situation like this?
