Say Goodbye To These TV Shows And Movies In 2019!

January 8, 2019

Today’s hot topic over at Heart Breakfast with Tim and Faris was about TV shows and movies that are coming to an end in 2019. While we’re excited to watch these sequels and new seasons, we’re sad to bid farewell. Honestly, it’s left us feeling a little bittersweet.

Just to make sure you don’t miss out on the final shows, we’ve got a list for you.

Star Wars
3 trilogies and 42 years later, the “Star Wars” Skywalker Saga is coming to an end. The epic space drama will close with its final installment, “Star Wars: Episode IX”. The trailer is rumoured to release sometime in April, so till then keep calm and may the force be with you.

Also, what are your guesses for the title?

Release date: December 2019

Game of Thrones
Cannot. Keep. Calm. Even though the season is shorter than the previous ones, each episode is a promised 90 minutes of entertainment. The blink-and-miss glimpse of Season 8 that aired at the Golden Globes was enough to get us excited. We’re really tempted to gather up some intense fan theories. Should we?

Release date: April 2019

In the meantime, we’re doing this.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe
This will definitely be a year of retirement parties over at the Marvel office. The “Avengers: Endgame” trailer is out and its left a host of theories crawling all over the web. Our thoughts: can our fallen heroes be gone for good? No way. Impossible.

Also, this totally cracked us up!

Release date: April 2019

The Big Bang Theory
After 12 seasons and a record-breaking 279 episodes, we’re sad to see Sheldon go. Having delivered years of entertainment, the show comes to an “epic creative close”. But we’re sure they’ll end with a “big bang”.

Release date: September 2019

And finally we’ll be able to answer how Batman came into being! We’re really hoping the Caped Crusader makes an appearance in this final season. Fingers crossed.

Already released.

27 years later The Losers Club have grown up but somethings just don’t change. Pennywise is hungry and looking to feed on fear. Are you scared?

Release date: September 2019

Mr. Robot
Our socially anxious hacker will be taking early retirement after 4 seasons. Sam Esmail said he “didn’t want to say goodbye, but we ultimately have too much respect for Elliot’s journey to extend past its inevitable ending”.

Release date: Sometime in 2019

And with that we’ll finish by saying “all good things come to an end” (cue Nelly Furtado). Which TV series or movies are you looking forward to?
