Brit Awards 2019: The Best Performances and Complete List of Winners
February 21, 2019
From some stellar performances to a cameo from Meghan Markle in The Carter’s acceptance speech to some truly epic wins, the Brit Awards 2019 kept us on the edge throughout!
Yesterday, the Brit Awards 2019 took place at The O2 Arena and was hosted (and roasted) by a very entertaining Jake Whitehall! Before we get into the full list of winners, here’s a quick rundown of some of the best performances of the night.
To open the awards, Hugh Jackman performed the opening track from The Greatest Showman and it was larger-than-life! From the acrobats to the dancers to the costumes- such a firecracker performance! To think that this was just a preview for what’s to come when Jackman starts touring in May.
Dressed in hot pink vinyl, Little Mix performed their hit single Woman Like Me with some VERY energetic dance moves! The power-house girl group took home the Brit Award for British Video for the chart-topping song.
Adding to the roster of brilliant performances was Jess Glynne’s Thursday– a hymn to self-acceptance. Joined with H.E.R, the duo removed their makeup on stage while performing what was probably last night’s most powerful show.
The 1975 performed ‘Sincerity Is Scary’ on stage. The band took home the biggest awards of the night for Best British Group (previously won in 2017) and Best British Album!!
And best acceptance speech goes to Queen Bey and Jay Z for Best International Group 😂.
