Do You Know Your Fandom Names?

February 28, 2019

Ask music fans “what’s in a name?” and they’ll tell you “everything”.

From Arianators to Beliebers to Smilers, almost every artist today has a moniker for their fans! And of course, a lot of it has to do with social media.  Fandoms help give a sense of community and with the help #hashtags and online accounts, fans can now come together no matter where in the world they are and discuss every single detail that really matters (to them at least!).

And surprisingly, the self-identified groups are quite powerful and stick to each other like glue. During the Manchester attacks, Beliebers, Selenators and more came together to support Ariana. Even science tell us that it’s good to “belong”, and in more recent times you’ll come across amazing stories of support in fandoms.

keep calm and join fandoms
