Ariana Grande is getting sued for posting a picture of herself! Insane!

On Monday, New York paparazzi photographer, Robert Barbers has filed a lawsuit against the “Sweetener” singer for violating copyright laws by posting the candid pictures on her Instagram account.

Ariana had shared two photos on her official Instagram account on August 17, the day her “Sweetener” album released and captioned in “Happy sweetener day”. Not sweet at all!

According to court documents, the IG post received over 3 million likes which means Grande has to pay up the profits from the post or $25,000 for each photo!

“[Grande] infringed [Barbera’s] copyright in the Photographs by reproducing and publicly displaying the Photographs on the Instagram Page,” the lawsuit states. “[Grande] is not, and has never been, licensed or otherwise authorized to reproduce, publicly display, distribute and/or use the Photographs.”

One of the posts is still up on Ariana’s Instagram feed.

Ariana, we guess “I want it, I got it” isn’t always the right way.
