Interestingly, the sun features eight rays that represent the eight provinces that fought again Spain, whilst the three stars represent the three islands- Luzon, Visaya and Mindanao. The white triangle represents equality, the blue stripe signifies peace, truth, and justice and the red stripe represents patriotism and valour.
The Philippine flag display at Burj Khalifa will start at 9:40pm on Wednesday, June 12.
Consul-General Paul Raymund Cortes said “This monumental occasion manifests the collective pride and joy of the Filipino community in the UAE and their appreciation to the multicultural community in the country for welcoming them in this diverse society”.
And that’s not it, Dubai Festival City’s record-breaking Imagine laser and light show will also hold a show to display Philippine’s rich culture and history. You can catch it at 9pm on Wednesday, and every hour from 7pm from June 13 to June 15!
