UAE HOLIDAYS AMENDED FOR 2019
September 9, 2019
No!!! It looks like the long holiday might not be a 5 day break.
Yesterday, the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that the dates have been amended for both the private and public sector. Commemoration Day has been moved from Sunday December 1 to Saturday November 30, which officially makes Sunday a working day.
Previously, Commemoration Day, also known as Martyr’s Day took place on November 30 however this year the government decided to move it to December 1. Commemoration Day honours armed forces members who were killed in combat.
The new announcement means that you’ll get Friday and Saturday off, head back to work on Sunday and then enjoy Monday December 2 and Tuesday December 3 off to celebrate UAE National Day!
