Dubai aims to be new global economic capital!


After the second Dubai Council session on Tuesday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai has announced Dubai’s economic aims.


Sheikh Mohammed made the exciting announcement in a series of tweets saying that Dubai has launched a new space dedicated to the development of the future economy.

He also added that Dubai Future District will connect DIFC, Emirates Towers and Dubai World Trade Centre, which would make it the Middle East’s biggest future economy-focused district. It will also include an innovative space for future economy pioneers.

Dubai’s economic goals are reaching for the stars to become the global economic capital. Sheikh Mohammed said on Twitter that he also plans to raise Dubai’s volume of non-oil foreign trade to Dh2 trillion by 2025.

Dubai will also be opening 50 offices across 5 continents to boost all sectors of the economy. These offices would promote Dubai’s tourism and investment opportunities. In addition, they would promote the emirate’s commodities, cultural and creative exports along with Human Resources.

In his last tweet, he says that 2020 will be a year of “significant change & real transformation on our journey over the next decade.”

He ended the tweet with: “My message to the strong-willed among us is: prepare yourself for a new era full of possibility.”
