February 10, 2020
From Parasite making history to Brad Pitt’s first Oscar win to the tiny deets on Natalie Portman’s red carpet ensemble, we’ve gone through every highlight from last night and rounded up the best.
Can we start with Eminem turning up to the Oscars 17 years too late?
The American rapper took the Oscars’ stage for a surprise act and performed “Lose Yourself” to a very confused crowd. Either way, he received a standing ovation. Interestingly, Eminem won an Oscar for best original song way back in 2003.
Later in the night he addressed the slightly baffled crowd with this tweet.

Parasite made Oscar history and how!
The Bong Joon Ho film took home the most coveted Oscars- best director, best picture, best original screenplay and best international film awards. The movie also made history by becoming the first non-English language film to win best picture.
Brad Pitt won his first Oscar.
He celebrated a long-awaited triumph after receiving the Oscar for best supporting actor in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The actor has previously won an Oscar for producing “12 Years a Slave”.
Natalie Portman made a big statement in the most subtle way.
The Academy Award-winning actress wore a stunning Dior cape. Take a closer look and you’ll note gold embroidered names of female directors who were snubbed by the awards ceremony.

Billie Eilish performed an ‘in memorium’ segment and it was beautiful.
The 18-year-old singer sang The Beatles’ ‘Yesterday’ as images of late stars flashed on the screen behind. Kobe Bryant was one of them.
