AR Rahman to Open Recording Studio in Dubai

Music maestro is opening a state-of-the-art music studio at the heart of Expo 2020.

The studio named The Firdaus Studio by AR Rahman, will be located onsite at the Expo 2020 site and will remain as a permanent fixture beyond the expo.

AR Rahman said: “This world-leading studio will attract the cream of the industry to Dubai. Working with the most exciting female musical talents of the region, the Firdaus Women’s Orchestra will enable Dubai to become a focal point for making ground-breaking new music, and I look forward to being part of that.”

The first of many projects will kick of in 2020 with a 50 member all-female orchestra, named The Firdaus Women’s Orchestra will have musicians from the UAE and MENA region, and will be a nod to Arabic culture.

The studio is set to host two AR Rahman concerts, a special International Women’s Day show and more.
