March 4, 2020
Picture a sudden, gripping feeling of fear that creeps in when you’re in a massive crowd. That’s just a fraction of what anxiety can feel like.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 1 in 13 globally suffer from anxiety.
At the first gig of his sold-out tour, Lewis Capaldi introduced a new initiative mental health initiative called LIVELIVE to help concert-goers suffering from anxiety disorders. In association with Music and You and Interlude Artists, the initiative offers a safe space and designated spots throughout the entire duration of the concert.
The initiative also has support for concert-goers going alone, with their “gig-buddy” offering. The “Someone You Loved” singer shared the news on his Instagram stories saying “First night of LIVELIVE tonight! Helping any of ya who struggle with any anxiety or mental health at gigs x”
If you ever attend a Lewis Capaldi gig, know that you’ll be cared for. ❤️
